Machinist, 1st Shift
Overview:
Performs basic machining operations requiring operation and set up of CNC milling machines to produce components and container support structure.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Sets up and operates CNC machines from part specifications sheet.
Determines and selects appropriate tooling; reviews and edits program as necessary.
Performs hand operations such as deburring as time allows.
Maintains established quality and quantity standards. Follows prescribed safety precautions, established company and department policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision. Maintains work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
Maintains daily production and other records as required.
Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Minimum of 1-2 years experience CNC type machine operation.
Ability to measure with vernier calipers, micrometers and height gauges.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Ability to read and understand G code CNC Programs.
